Privacy for Website Visits and Repair Calls
For appliance trouble around Portland and Vancouver, a call connects you with a local appliance repair professional in our network. Read the call-recording notice and how information relates to connecting your service request.
How Repair Calls Involve Your Information
Calls Are Recorded
The full conversation is recorded each time someone calls the Alder Appliance Repair number, from connection through the end of the call. Continuing on the line once the connection is made gives your agreement to the recording. End the call by hanging up if you do not agree to have the conversation recorded.
Who Handles Your Repair
Alder Appliance Repair is not itself a contractor and does not carry out repairs. The appliance repair professional in our network who takes your call does the work. That professional sets the schedule, decides the price and bills you for the repair. Connecting through the Alder Appliance Repair number puts your request with the professional who handles those service arrangements. Repair work, appointment scheduling, pricing and billing are all handled by that professional.
What the Call Records
Calls pass through our own call-tracking platform. Along with recording the conversation, the platform logs call details such as the caller's phone number, when the call takes place and how long it lasts. What you say during the conversation is also recorded. Call information therefore includes both the details logged about the call and the spoken conversation, rather than just a record that someone called the number.
How Long Call Information Stays
We keep recordings and call data for as long as needed, without a fixed retention period. The length of a recording describes how long the conversation lasted. It does not describe how long we keep that recording or the details logged about the call.
Who Receives Call Information
Recordings and call data are shared only with the local appliance repair professional who takes the call, the call-tracking service that runs the line, and when the law requires. For an appliance repair request, the local professional receiving that information is the person who takes your call through the line.
How We Count Website Visits
Google Analytics 4 and Umami count how many visits the website gets, which pages people view and which devices they use. Google Analytics 4 uses cookies. Our own server hosts Umami, which sets no cookies. These are the two analytics tools used for counting website activity. The website has no forms to fill out, no accounts to create, no payments to make and no ads.
Google Maps on Some Pages
Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page's embedded Google map loads.
Send Privacy Requests by Email
Email [email protected] with privacy questions or requests for access to or deletion of personal information. For any sale or sharing of personal information covered by state privacy laws, send your opt-out request to that same email address. An opt-out does not stop a caller from being connected with one of our local appliance repair partners. You can request that opt-out and still use the phone connection for an appliance repair request. The same email address handles questions about call recordings, logged call details and website analytics, as well as requests about your personal information.
